Stewart Lodge is a perfect place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Michael Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Scatter Creek Campground is a good site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Cle Elum River in a kayak, and a lake nearby is Opal Lake. At Michael Lake during the

is gorgeous, you get a great panorama of Davis Peak from Michael Lake. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Cascade Range. If the weather is tremendous here at Michael Lake, you can go for a hike along the Jolly Mountain Lookout Trail, and as expected Big Boulder Creek flows through this vicinity.
But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Michael Lake. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Davis Peak Lookout Trail, and Michael Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Fish Lake Campground is a fine local campground. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Michael Lake you can take a hike along the Lake Michael Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Waptus River. Very charming scenery and nice skiing is what you get at Stephens Pass, obviously you could also explore Lake Terence since you're here; it's not far at all.
Skiing at Snoqualmie is one of those things you just ought to do. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.

This ''Lake'' Is Beautiful. It really isn't a lake at all, in the summer it is a widening of the river. Very slow moving river, more like a slough, it is very clean, clear, and cold, mountain runoff. The fishing is excellent from a small boat or float tube, although the current can be somewhat strong. I fly fished, using a #14 Adams, and caught 11 rainbow and cutthroat trout between 6 & 11'', in the early to mid evening. This was in July of 2008. Camping was good, small sites along the main road. Keep your food in the cars though as Bears are definitely out....

Fish Lake Campground
Watch for grizzly. Esp. early spring and fall....

Wish Poosh Campground
We overnighted at this campsite a couple of weekends ago. The camp hosts were wonderful, they were informative and kept the grounds and the bathrooms spic-n-span clean. They were always in their golf cart putting around taking care of this or that. They scolded us for staying the night in a place we weren't supposed to, and I felt bad about that because I knew we shouldn't have stayed there but my partner insisted and it was his birthday. I knew they were just keeping order at the campground they were in charge of, and I appreciated that. Keep up the good work!...

Bonnie Lake
13 miles away
Bonney lake Is not trained. It is drained in the winter, who ever runs the dam doesn't man it in winter so they let it drain. There was talk that they would not fill it any more....Just heard that Bonnie Lake is drained in the winter and then refilled in the Spring. Can you tell me why?...

Stephens Pass

Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out...

From the steep and deep to the high-speed buffed-out cruisers, from our gentle learning areas to our benchmark parks and pipe, diversity is a way of life around here. With four unique base areas and less than an hour from Seattle on Interstate 90, no other resort in the country offers so much variety with this much convenience. Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast!
For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do!
So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit.
Just around the corner...
