Yeah, come up here to the Northern Cascade Range for a great time. Comfort Inn Lacey is a glorious place to get some rest, and Lost Lake is a splendid lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. It's always great to go to McAllister Springs, and Medicine Creek Reservoir is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Martin way Mobile Home Park is a magnificent local campground. | | only one, and there's a great forest called Trotter Woods. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Medicine Creek Reservoir. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Medicine Creek Reservoir are in the 30's. And that's not all you can do here at Medicine Creek Reservoir. by Medicine Creek Reservoir Dam if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Deschutes River for all you adrenaline junkies, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Nisqually River. This lake is one
of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. The high level of rainfall makes Medicine Creek Reservoir a relatively wet place; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; July is when it's the
driest. Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna return back home again. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Lacey Olympia Area is a tremendous site to spend a night or two; why not a little side visit to Medicine Creek.

Nisqually River
 | 12 miles away ...s like most rivers, every year there is something new and unexpected. There are a few notable obstacles and log jams that have stuck over the past ten years or so. One of them is between McKenna and the Nisqually railroad trestle. It has been there as long as I can remember. But the river isn't too fast there and you should have plenty of time to get outta the way. The other problems are further down the river, the log jams that are past the Nisqually pines aren't too bad. Most of them are so far up on the river bank that only a few trees hang into the river ( not to say that there are none of them.) But the problem is that you raft right under the cliffs on FT. Lewis. They seem to like to throw cars off the cliffs and watch them hit the water.. Or this is a good way to dispose of stolen cars.. Because the water just churns and turns these cars into a spiky nightmare for the rafters and tubers of the Nisqually. I have yet to see one person go over the cars and not instantly blow there raft apart.. Just keep a good eye out for any colors that don't belong in the river. Sometimes its j... |
