Good hiking is available along the Elwha River Trail; of course, this is a good region for folks who like lakes, Lake Sundown is a lake in the neighborhood. McGravey Lakes is a pretty wet place regularly with a good deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is December while July is mostly the driest month. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Olympic Mountains. There's       glorious hiking along the Long Ridge Trail; whitewater paddling is great on Quinault River. McGravey Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Olympic Mountains. Summertime highs at McGravey Lakes mostly tend to be in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at McGravey Lakes drop into the 30's. Mount Olson is a peak you can spot from McGravey                  Lakes, and camping at Graves Creek Campground is always a nice experience. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge if you're here, and paddling on Skokomish River - North Fork is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Lake Success. Go for a hike on the Skyline Trail; McGravey Lakes is good enough to spend more than a day at, Wynoochee Falls Campground is a good local campground. Yep, outdoors fun things truly is plentiful here in the Olympic Mountains.
