Looking for something in the neighborhood of McGowan Pond? Clear Lake is close by. You'll need more than a day to look at everything McGowan Pond has to offer, you can camp at Chinook Trailer Park. This spot, the Coast Ranges, has so much outdoors exciting things. Nearby lakes? Sure, Potato Lake is near McGowan Pond. There's so much to do here at McGowan Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Chris' Trailer Park       is a fine site for that. This lake is so wonderful. There are great spots to look at along the Cannon Beach Trail, and there are plenty of folks from Astoria here. So many exciting things to do in the Coast Ranges, not sufficient time. Scarboro Hill is clearly visible from McGowan Pond; a brilliant nearby hotel is Red Lion Inn Astoria. McGowan Pond is located in the Coast Ranges. McGowan Pond gets much water; December is when you get the most rain here, and                  the driest of the months is July. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Naselle River - North Fork, and don't forget to pop by Chinook Point if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Best Western Lincoln Inn is a fine choice, and a trip to Fort Clatsop National Memorial is recommended. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to McGowan Pond with nighttime lows in the 40's.
