All through the warmest time of the year at McGowan Pond highs are typically in the 60's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at McGowan Pond are in the 30's. McGowan Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Chinook Trailer Park is a wonderful local campground, and Scarboro       Hill is clearly visible from McGowan Pond. All year is a wonderful time in the Coast Ranges if you adore the outdoors. Lakes? Sure, Clear Lake is in the vicinity, and camping at Chris' Trailer Park is always a delightful experience. What a place this is for outdoors people. If you need a site to stay Best Western Astoria Inn is a good choice; Fort Clatsop National Memorial is a very wonderful place to take a look at. A good deal of rain falls at McGowan Pond;                  the month with most of the rain is December, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Chinook Point is not far from McGowan Pond at all, and Potato Lake is a brilliant lake close by. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Coast Ranges. Hiking is a popular thing to do around McGowan Pond; Cannon Beach Trail is a perfect local trail, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Astoria. This lake is so wonderful.
