Going for a hike on the Finney Peak Trail is always a great adventure; why not a little side trip to Higgins Creek. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Northern Cascade Range. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Northern Cascade Range. Best Western Sky Valley Inn       is a fine place to get some rest, and Boulder River is a great whitewater spot nearby. There is a great hiking trail near McGillicuddys Duck Pond called the Gee Point Trail, and Granite Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Throughout the summer at McGillicuddys Duck Pond highs are generally in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight                  here at McGillicuddys Duck Pond. A good site for whitewater paddling close to McGillicuddys Duck Pond is Stillaguamish River - North Fork; since you're here, you could also stop by lovely Myrtle Lake. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to McGillicuddys Duck Pond. Why not camp at Skagit River woods while you're here at McGillicuddys Duck Pond, and Timberline Recreational Vehicle Park is a splendid local campground.
