Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are really plentiful here at McDowell Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Spokane       River. It is very waterless here at McDowell Lake frequently; December is the wettest month with most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There are some fine whitewater spots on Hangman Creek; not far from McDowell Lake you'll locate Isaacson Lake which is a striking lake. There's so much to do here at McDowell Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Williams Lake Resort is a magnificent place for that; there are plenty                  of folks from Spokane here. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to McDowell Lake; the overnight is somewhat colder of course, generally in the 50's.
