This lake is so wonderful. Bobs Point is next to McCarty Pond and is a perfect spot to take a look at; Quality Inn & Suites is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Deschutes River State Recreation Area. There's whitewater on Little Klickitat River for all you adrenaline people; no need to travel far to visit attention-grabbing stuff like       The Slide. Camping at Peach Beach RV Park is always a good experience; get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Deschutes River. Around McCarty Pond you don’t get a lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at McCarty Pond during the summer are in the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
