This lake is so wonderful. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Little Klickitat River, and Bobs Point is not far at all. For the duration of the summertime months, highs regularly are in the 80's at McCarty Pond. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally       in the 40's while McCarty Pond night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Deschutes River, and if you're here at McCarty Pond, checking out The Slide is a must. McCarty Pond really is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. Quality Inn & Suites is a great spot to get some rest. Lakes are magnificent; Pothole Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of                  McCarty Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Columbia Gorge. McCarty Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Peach Beach RV Park is a great local campground, and from McCarty Pond you get a perfect panorama of Sugarloaf. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Henderson Spring, and a great location to camp here at McCarty Pond is Deschutes River State Recreation Area.
