Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. If you get bored of McAlester Lake, you could also take a look at close by Twisp Lake; a great nearby hotel is Adventure Inn. Summer brings highs in the 80's to McAlester Lake with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at McAlester Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.       Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go home again. While you're here at McAlester Lake you can take a hike along the Driveway Butte Trail, and a lake close by is Dagger Lake. The amount of rain that falls at McAlester Lake is close to the national average; December is the month that gets the most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. Hock Mountain is pretty and can be observed from McAlester Lake; paddling                  on Stehekin River is so much fun. McAlester Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Cascade Range for a tremendous time. Take a little tour to Bowan Creek if you're here at McAlester Lake; camping is available at Rainbow Falls Campground. Going for a hike along the West Fork Methow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you came for an overnight stay Company Creek Campground is a tremendous place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Get soaked paddling on Granite Creek; you can have a good hiking adventure along the Rainbow Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
