Amanda: This is mainly a private lake for people who have houses on it. There is a boat launch which is very small and to the point. :) There is also a park for employees of a certain company which I forget the name of now. This lake is very clean and refreshing. It is great for boats and inter tubing and swimming all the same :)  Love this Lake!! So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Olympic Mountains, too splendid to be true. Going for a hike on the Mount Jupiter Trail is always a great adventure. Mason Lake regularly gets a large amount of rain; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This location is great, just look at all       the enjoyable stuff to do in the neighborhood of Mason Lake. A lake close by is Spencer Lake; you'll meet a lot of folks from Shelton here. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hamma Hamma River, and Lake Limerick Country Club is a pleasant golf course close by. Man, is there plenty of enjoyable stuff to do in the Olympic Mountains. If you need a place to stay Alderbrook                  Resort And Spa is a tremendous choice; Mason Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Spencer Lake RV Park is a good local campground. There's so much to do here at Mason Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Trask Timber Trails Assn is a splendid spot for that, and Super 8 Motel - Shelton is a good location to get some rest. High temperatures at Mason Lake during the summer are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's, and overnight lows at Mason Lake through the winter typically sink into the 30's.
