Marten Lake is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Arbuthnot Lake; paddling on Ruth Creek is so much fun. A good place close to Marten Lake is Avalanche Gorge, and you can stay the night at Depression Lake Campground. A great nearby hotel is Snowwater Condos, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Finney Peak Trail.
Marten Lake is one of

the lakes here in the Northern Cascade Range. All the water falling down from the sky makes Marten Lake a wet site; through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Marten Lake has to offer, you can camp at Kulshan Campground. Lakes are magnificent; Rainbow Lake is a lake that's right next door to Marten Lake.

Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more cool things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. And if that's not enough there's lots more amusing stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Nooksack River - North Fork, and on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Gee Point Trail. Throughout the warm days of summer at Marten Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; night lows at Marten Lake throughout the wintertime typically drop into the 30's.
