Marmot Lake is not the only spot close by, Maiden Lake is a close by lake, and you can go for a hike on the Little River Trail. Going for a hike on the Lake Creek Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and Marmot Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Evergreen Motel and Mobile Home is a good spot to camp nearby. The Olympic Mountains scenery is always beautiful.       This lake is so wonderful. A trip to Olympic National Park is worthwhile, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Port Angeles. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Gray Wolf River. Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge has glorious slopes and a friendly staff, and nice hiking is available along the Lillian River Trail. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Olympic Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. Heart of the Hills Campground is a tremendous                  local campground, and Super 8 Port Angeles is a glorious place to get some rest. For the period of the summertime here at Marmot Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Marmot Lake are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. You could also take a look at PJ Lake while you're here at Marmot Lake; it's close by, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Elwha River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Olympic Mountains. The summit of Lookout Rock can be observed from Marmot Lake, and don't forget to take a magnificent little visit to Maiden Creek.
