Man, is there lots of entertaining things to do in the Olympic Mountains. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn Uptown is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and Lake Margaret is not the only location close by, Martins Lakes is a close by lake. So many exciting things to do here in the Olympic Mountains, too great to be true. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Margaret has       to offer, you can camp at Graves Creek Campground; on a beautiful day you obtain a good vista of Mount Christie from Lake Margaret. A splendid place for whitewater paddling close to Lake Margaret is Quinault River - North Fork, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Elwha River Trail. So many exciting things to do at Lake Margaret, so little time. The Skyline Trail is a pleasant hiking trail near Lake Margaret, and what would winter be without                  some skiing at Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge. This spot is great, just look at all the entertaining things to do in the neighborhood of Lake Margaret. If you need a location to stay Red Lion Hotel Port Angeles is a good choice. If you get bored of Lake Margaret, you could also explore nearby Lake Mary, and nearby you hit upon the Long Ridge Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Elwha Basin is a magnificent spot; Olympic National Park is a great local destination. Lake Margaret gets much water; December is when you get the most rain here; July meanwhile is the driest month. Low Divide is a tremendous place to explore, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Quinault River. This lake is so wonderful. Some nearby water includes Delabarre Creek. There's so much to do here at Lake Margaret that you need to camp here for a while, Wynoochee Falls Campground is a splendid spot for that. Summer at Lake Margaret comes with high temperatures in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's.
