Yeah, come up here to the Northern Cascade Range for a wonderful time. Stewart Lodge is a great location to get some rest, and at Manastash Lake you can distinguish Bald Mountain. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rattlesnake Creek - Naches Tributary. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Manastash Lake has it all. Near Manastash Lake you come across the Fishhook Flats Trail which is a glorious hiking
trail, and if you get bored of Manastash Lake you could also stop by nearby Lost Lake.
The Keenan Meadows Trail is a fine hiking trail near Manastash Lake; Buck Meadows is a stunning site any time of year. Manastash Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. If you need a place to stay Best Western Snowcap Lodge is a pleasant choice, and a lake close by is Milk Lake.
Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever want

to return home again. There is a magnificent hiking trail close to Manastash Lake called the Frost Mountain Lookout Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Tamarack Spring Campground is a perfect location to camp. All through the long summer days at Manastash Lake highs are commonly in the 60's. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Manastash Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Naches River, and you'll in all probability meet some people from Ellensburg here.
The high level of rain makes Manastash Lake a pretty wet place; the month with most of the snow is January, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Cattle Camp Spring is always fun to check out, and Squaw Rock Resort and RV Park is a great local campground.

Naches River
On July 19, 2009 we started at Boulder caves, floated for 2 1/2 hours and got out at Squaw Rock resort. The gauge was 50. 3 ft. There was just enough water, any lower and we would have been hitting rocks in the riffles. It was way fun!! The only thing to look out for is the ''Gaunlet''. About 3/4 of the way down. STAY LEFT. There is a large rock that splits the river, if you stay left it is a fun ride, otherwise you will end up plastered to the rock.

We were in inflatable kayaks.
Have fun!!

Wish Poosh Campground
16 miles away
We overnighted at this campsite a couple of weekends ago. The camp hosts were wonderful, they were informative and kept the grounds and the bathrooms spic-n-span clean. They were always in their golf cart putting around taking care of this or that. They scolded us for staying the night in a place we weren't supposed to, and I felt bad about that because I knew we shouldn't have stayed there but my partner insisted and it was his birthday. I knew they were just keeping order at the campground they were in charge of, and I appreciated that. Keep up the good work!...
