Go to Maiden Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Maiden Lake is a quite wet place typically with lots of precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Maiden Lake while night lows are typically in the 50's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 40's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Maiden Lake tend to be in the 30's. On a pretty day you obtain

| | a sight of Maiden Peak from Maiden Lake, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dungeness River. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Deer Park Campground is a brilliant place to do that, and Maiden Lake is right by the Lake Creek Trail. Yeah, come up here to the Olympic Mountains for a pleasant time. Maiden Lake is not the only place close by, Moose Lake is a close by lake, and Maiden Lake is fine | |

enough to spend more than a day at, Port Angeles Koa Kampground is a fine local campground. A lake nearby is Grand Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Olympic Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location.
If you need a location to stay Days Inn Port Angeles is a fine choice, and going for a hike along the Royal Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Hiking along the Baldy Trail is good fun; you can never
get enough of the good skiing at Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Olympic Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. Olympic National Park is a tremendous national park, and after a
long day outdoors Port Angeles Super 8 Motel is a great spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. During your trip to Maiden Lake you'll meet some people from Shelton for sure, and a brilliant place for whitewater paddling is Gray Wolf River.
