Have a fine hiking adventure along the Hunters Trail. There's so much to do here at Mad Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Grouse Creek Campground is a delightful place for that. So many exciting things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too great to be true. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Two Little Lakes, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling

| | on Entiat River. A normal amount of rain falls here at Mad Lake; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. All year is a nice time in the Northern Cascade Range if you love the outdoors. tremendous choice. Having a delightful time at Mad Lake is painless. Whitewater paddling is great on Entiat River; after a long day outdoors Adventure Inn is a nice site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If you're
visiting Mad Lake from Wenatchee, you won't be the only one. Lakes are nice; Devil Lake is a lake that's near Mad Lake; hiking along the Duncan Hill Trail is splendid fun. Throughout the long summer days here at Mad Lake, high temperatures
mostly reach the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mad Lake are in the 10's. This lake is
so wonderful. A pleasant journey to Klone Meadow is a fine way to spend an afternoon. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mad Lake has to offer, you can camp at Blue Creek Campground.

 | 17 miles away Well, most of the information in this little blurb is wrong: The nearest Metro area is not Ellensburg, it is Leavenworth. Lake Elsley? I have never heard of it, and have been in the area for 30 years. There is no such place called Indian Ponds anywhere around the campground. Though a beautiful hike, Napeequa Crossing to Twin Lakes is not an easy stroll, it is approximately 3.2+ miles one way, with many switchbacks, and to the average city person, a hard slog. This Article makes it sound like White river falls are on the way to Twin Lakes, which they are not. They are reached by driving on up the valley 5 more miles or so to the correct turnout. Also, it should be mentioned that from the beginning of camping season till Mid August, you should slather yourself in Bug repellant to keep from being eaten alive by Mosquitoes. The campground is located on the confluence of the White and Napeequa Rivers, which flow into Lake Wenatchee.... |
