The beauty of Mad Lake is reason enough to stop by. Having a great time in the Northern Cascade Range is trouble-free. Dry warm beds await you at Adventure Inn, and Klone Meadow is right here at Mad Lake. Good hiking is available along the Duncan Hill Trail, and Two Little Lakes is a pleasant lake nearby. period of the winter highs are usually in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Mad Lake. Mad Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range.

Napeequa Crossing Campground
 | 17 miles away Well, most of the information in this little blurb is wrong: The nearest Metro area is not Ellensburg, it is Leavenworth. Lake Elsley? I have never heard of it, and have been in the area for 30 years. There is no such place called Indian Ponds anywhere around the campground. Though a beautiful hike, Napeequa Crossing to Twin Lakes is not an easy stroll, it is approximately 3.2+ miles one way, with many switchbacks, and to the average city person, a hard slog. This Article makes it sound like White river falls are on the way to Twin Lakes, which they are not. They are reached by driving on up the valley 5 more miles or so to the correct turnout. Also, it should be mentioned that from the beginning of camping season till Mid August, you should slather yourself in Bug repellant to keep from being eaten alive by Mosquitoes. The campground is located on the confluence of the White and Napeequa Rivers, which flow into Lake Wenatchee.... |
