Not far from Lake Louise you obtain some splendid water scenery at Boise Cascade Aeration Lagoon Dam, and Lake Louise is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Gig Harbor Camping Resort is a nice location to camp nearby. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Lake Louise highs are usually in the 70's, and through summer nights

| | temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Lake Louise. The sight of wonderful Kay Hill near Lake Louise is wonderful, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Park Marsh is right nearby. So much cool stuff to do at Lake Louise, so little time. Lakewood Motor Inn is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. There are other locations here than Lake Louise, for example Carp Lake. Lake Louise sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually
December, that's the one that rains the most; July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant close by hotel is Thornewood Castle Inn And Gardens, and the trees of Curry Woods are a perfect source of shade on hot summer days.

 | This is a fun spot that people go skim boarding and there are trails to walk on and also a little swimming hole to jump in but if you are looking for a swimming spot this wouldn't be the one for you, but you should still check it out for yourself!!... |
Nisqually River
 | ... was about 13 years old (27 now). The thing you should know about the Nisqually is that it is like most rivers, every year there is something new and unexpected. There are a few notable obstacles and log jams that have stuck over the past ten years or so. One of them is between McKenna and the Nisqually railroad trestle. It has been there as long as I can remember. But the river isn't too fast there and you should have plenty of time to get outta the way. The other problems are further down the river, the log jams that are past the Nisqually pines aren't too bad. Most of them are so far up on the river bank that only a few trees hang into the river ( not to say that there are none of them.) But the problem is that you raft right under the cliffs on FT. Lewis. They seem to like to throw cars off the cliffs and watch them hit the water.. Or this is a good way to dispose of stolen cars.. Because the water just churns and turns these cars into a spiky nightmare for the rafters and tubers of the Nisqually. I have yet to see one person go over the cars and not instantly blow there raft apa... |
