What a place this is for outdoors folks. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Butter Creek, and the slopes of Crystal Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist. There's nice hiking along the
Moraine Trail, and everyone loves Paradise Park. That right there is a heap of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. A tour to Fairy Falls will fill your spirit with great feelings, and hiking is
a popular thing to do around Louise Lake; Tatoosh Trail is a delightful local trail. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Northern Cascade Range. A good place to stop by next to Louise

Lake Christine
 | 15 miles away July 19, 2008-- We hiked up to Mt. Beljica this date. I would not recommend it just yet because of the unusually heavy snowfall last winter, unless you're very familiar with the trail. The entire trail is still snow covered from Lake Christine on up to the top of Mt. Beljica. We lost the trail, and then found it again.... that was a bit unnerving.... |

White Pass

What really makes it special though, is the friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. It's what makes White Pass a ski and snowboard paradise. The White Pass experience starts with a bountiful snowfall (350'' in an average season) and with the highest base elevation on the crest of the Washington Cascades. The resort strikes a perfect balance between pulse quickening steeps, wide open cruisers and gentle learning areas with 33 percent of the terrain geared toward experts, 43 percent toward intermediates and 24 percent toward beginners. Nothing gets you to the top faster than the Great White Express, Washington's only Doppelmayr high-speed detachable quad. Great White can take you from the base to the summit in five minutes. White Pass is recognized as one of the greatest mountains to ride in the Northwest. Natural quarter-pipes, kickers, drops, cornices and chutes challenge even the most experienced boarder. It offers a half-pipe. It's got one of the ... |
