     You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lost Lake has to offer, you can camp at Mt. Linton RV and Trailer Park, and you can go for a hike on the Terry Trail. Getting to Lost Lake Creek from Lost Lake is easy; Lost Lake is not the only spot close by, Box Canyon Reservoir is a close by lake. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! Lost Lake is peerless! A nice place like Thorson Meadow here at Lost Lake is too great to miss, as expected you  
   could also pop by Cedar Creek Reservoir if you're here; it's not far at all. 49 Degrees North has glorious slopes and a friendly staff.
Get wet paddling on Sullivan River; from Lost Lake you get a tremendous vista of Deer Mountain. The warmest time of the year at Lost Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are typically in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows
 
               in the 10's to Lost Lake. At Lost Lake you don’t see much rainfall; December is the month that gets the most snow, and September is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Sullivan River in a kayak. There's so much to do here at Lost Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Edgewater Campground is a magnificent spot for that.

Interesting to see this area via google satelitte...in 1892 my paternal grandfather purchased 95.5 acres along the river at the China Bend area from the govt. It must have been repurchased by the Bureau of Reclamation when the Dam was being considered. Glad it's still beautiful....
