    Lost Lake is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Buster Mountain is a peak you can spot from Lost Lake, and there are other places here than Lost Lake, for example Walker Lake. Any time is a great time at Lost Lake if you go for the outdoors. Best Western Peppertree Omak Inn is a great place to get some rest. Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Lost Lake get into the 80's, and the overnight is fairly colder of course, typically in  
   the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Lost Lake tend to be in the 10's.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lost Lake; Bonaparte Trail is a fine local trail. There's so much to do here at Lost Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bonaparte Lake Resort and Restaurant is a great location for that. Not far from Lost Lake, you'll hit upon Bonaparte Lake which is a stunning lake; fine hiking is
 
               available along the Beaver Ridge Trail. It is very dehydrated here at Lost Lake typically; all through the month of December you get the most snow around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Stay the night at Lost Lake Campground; the South Side Trail offers hiking at its best.

Interesting to see this area via google satelitte...in 1892 my paternal grandfather purchased 95.5 acres along the river at the China Bend area from the govt. It must have been repurchased by the Bureau of Reclamation when the Dam was being considered. Glad it's still beautiful....
