Long Lake

Lakes are wonderful; Flat Iron Lake is a lake that's right next door to Long Lake, and a visit to Fort Simcoe State Park revitalizes the spirit. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The Northern Cascade Range is unbeatable! On a nice day at Long Lake you can take a hike along the Grey Rock Trail, and a perfect place like Jumpoff Meadows here at Long Lake is too delightful to miss. There's a glorious class III+ bit of whitewater nearby on Tieton River,
the 11.5-mile-from-beginning-to-end Rimrock Reservoir to Windy Point Campground segment. This segment of Tieton River is a mid difficulty bit for raft paddling.
