Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Canvasback Lake; this is a popular location for folks from Longview-Kelso. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in cool geologic marks, try Warrior Rock, and Bachelor Island Slough is a swamp next to Long Lake. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Long Lake, too great to be true. Sauvie Cove Store and RV Park is a great campground nearby,       and a day at Lyons Beach is time well spent. If you need a place to stay Best Western Oak Meadows Inn is a brilliant choice, and Tri-Mountain Golf Course is a golf course close by. Long Lake regularly gets a great deal of rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain while July is generally the driest month. It's a good idea to check out Gee Creek, it's near Long Lake, and nearby you come across fine places like Bachelor Island Shoal.                  This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Long Lake, you'll locate Widgeon Lake which is a pretty lake, and Warrior Point is rather close. The Georges Peak Trail is a delightful hiking trail in close proximity to Long Lake, and Violette's Villa is a fine local campground. A pleasant nearby hotel is La Quinta Inn & Suites Vancouver; whitewater paddling is great on Kalama River. Yeah, come here to Long Lake for a fine time. For the period of the warm months, highs generally are in the 70's at Long Lake while night lows are generally in the 50's.
