Paddling on Lyre River is so much fun; what would winter be without some skiing at Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge. At Long Lake during the summer months highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Long Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Sol Duc Lake is near Long       Lake; soar down the rapids of Soleduck River - North Fork in a kayak. At Long Lake you can observe Bogachiel Peak. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Long Lake has to offer, you can camp at Soleduck Campground. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Olympic Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Deer Lake Trail, and a great place like Seven Lakes Basin here at Long Lake is too good to miss. Be careful coming to                  Long Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. A great close by hotel is Lake Quinault Lodge. This spot, the Olympic Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. The Soleduck Trail offers hiking at its best, and a quick trip to Rocky Creek is positively a magnificent idea.
