If you are in Cowlitz county it's always a good idea to stop by Log Pond. There's whitewater on Goble Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and if you crave a little side spree, try Rainier Bar. Log Pond is a wet site that gets lots of rainfall; December is the month that gets the most rain; July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There are some fine whitewater spots on Coal Creek, and why not camp at Oaks Trailer and RV Park

Camping at Log Pond is great fun, Deluxe Trailer Court is a great local campground; Hudson Hotel is a pleasant place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to encounter some wonderful people from Longview-Kelso here. Fox Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Ditch Number Three is right close by.

love the outdoors. Time spent at Cottonwood Beach near Log Pond is always splendid, and Elks Lodge-Kelso-Longview Golf Course is a fine golf course close by. A good close by hotel is Quality Inn and Suites, and while you're here here
do visit nearby Red Mill Beach. Summertime highs at Log Pond typically tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Log Pond.
