A visit to Lizard Lake is always a good idea. Lake Samish Terrace is a fine campground nearby, and playing golf is lots of fun at Lake Padden Golf Course. The yearly rain here at Lizard Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is July. Lake Samish is a glorious lake next to Lizard Lake, and there's some flowing water close by, Colony Creek is a stream you can stop

| | by while you're here. Here at Lizard Lake there are plenty of people from Bellingham, and Whatcom Creek has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby. If only every place had this much outdoors cool things, what a great planet it would be. Lake Chelan National Recreation Area is one of the destinations right next door to Lizard Lake that are fine to go to, and Mt.Baker is a fine local ski area. day outdoors Days Inn Bellingham is a good place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Heron Beach is next to Lizard Lake if you're in a beach type of mood. Lakes? Sure, Lily Lake is in close proximity. This
lake is so wonderful. A delightful nearby hotel is Bellingham Travelodge, and paddling on Skookum Creek is so much fun. At Lizard Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in
the 50's. During the winter highs are mostly in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Lizard Lake temperatures dip to the 30's.
