     Washington has many beautiful lakes and Little Menzel Lake is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Snohomish RV and Mobile Home Park is a perfect place to do that, and if you're here, you could stop at Coon Creek. All the outdoors cool things close to Little Menzel Lake will keep you coming back again and again. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Stillaguamish River - South Fork. So many entertaining things to do here in the Northern  
   Cascade Range, too tremendous to be true. There's so much to do here at Little Menzel Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Connor Park is a great spot for that, and after a long day outdoors GuestHouse Inn & Suites M is a splendid site to spend a night or two.
Canyon Creek South Fork Stillaguamish Tributary has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by, and while you're here, you could also check out charming Bosworth Lake. This lake is located
 
               in the wonderful Northern Cascade Range. You'll find a pretty lake called Carlson Pond near Little Menzel Lake, and a perfect nearby hotel is Best Western Sky Valley Inn, Monroe.
A great deal of rainfall falls at Little Menzel Lake; December is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is July. Through the warmest time of the year at Little Menzel Lake highs are typically in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. All through the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Little Menzel Lake are in the 30's.

Lake Beecher is surrounded on 3 sides by a wildlife reserve and a wooded flood plain. Several families of Beavers and Otters make their homes along the sides of the lake. Evidence of large fresh water muscles are often found on the aging docks of the 1920s & 1930s cottages that are along the lake. In the early morning & evening in the summertime, hot air balloons drift along the edge of the lake just above the treeline between the lake and the Snohomish River....

WE USED TO FISH HUNT AND FOURWHEEL AT THE LAKE...We used to ride dirt bikes in the early 70's up to lake fontal, lotsa fun. I remember the cabins and little store that was up there when I was a kid in the 60's....I used to fish on Lake Fontal but now there isn't any fish.Warning: Lake Fontal Road is a dead end that does not lead to Lake Fontal. The lake is definitely not worth the trouble....We used to ride hores into lake fontal in the late 60's. There used to be a small resort there, complete with cabins, boat rentals,always a huge party opening weekend..(?) big foot sightings in the area...could of been the micro-dot....

This was a beautiful hike, coming out on a lake that was pristine and gorgeous. The only problem is, the hike is really long, steep, up hill, and was exhausting for me. I would consider this an upper intermediate hike....
