Box Canyon Creek is a good local stream, and you can run the rapids of Box Canyon Creek. A delightful spot for whitewater paddling close to Little Kachess Lake is Cooper River; on a fine day       you can take a hike along the Escondido Trail. Little Kachess Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do near Little Kachess Lake. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Alpental; while you're here you can take a hike along the Cooper Pass Trail. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. Thorp Mountain can be spotted from Little Kachess Lake, and if the weather is delightful,                  you can go for a hike along the Kachess Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Crystal Springs Campground is a good local campground; Suncadia Resort is a pleasant place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Thorp Lake is in the vicinity of Little Kachess Lake; why not camp at Kachess Campground since you're here at Little Kachess Lake. This is a tremendous vicinity for folks who like lakes. Three Queens Lake is a lake nearby. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Little Kachess Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Little Kachess Lake.
