This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Frost Mountain Lookout Trail; if you're stopping by from Ellensburg, you won't be the only one. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. Lakes are such serene places, why not stop by Milk Pond close to Lily Pond Lake, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on American       River. A pleasant location to camp here at Lily Pond Lake is Halfway Flat Campground II, and a pleasant close by hotel is Stewart Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Milk Pond Dam is worth stopping at while you're here. For the period of the days of summer at Lily Pond Lake temperatures are regularly in the 60's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Lily Pond Lake dipping                  down into the 10's during winter nights. So many entertaining things in the Northern Cascade Range, just incredible.
