Man, is there a load of amusing stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lightning Lake has to offer, you can camp at Peninsula Campground; why not take a refreshing hike along the Rattlesnake Trail. All through the warm months here at Lightning Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. For the period       of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lightning Lake are in the 10's. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Lightning Lake. Tieton River - South Fork is a wonderful whitewater spot near Lightning Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lightning Lake; Little Wildcat Trail is a good local trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range.                  Dry warm beds await you at Game Ridge Motel. There's so much to do here at Lightning Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lonesome Cove Campground is a glorious site for that. You absolutely should love the Northern Cascade Range. Do go to Tieton Dam while you're here at Lightning Lake, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tieton River. This lake is so wonderful. A quick trip to Thunder Creek in close proximity to Lightning Lake is a tremendous idea, and Lightning Lake is not the only place nearby, Rimrock Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's perfect hiking along the Grey Rock Trail, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by White Pass. Hit the slopes at Crystal Mountain close by.
