Merrill Lake is a lovely place for swimming & kayaking!...

Sandy Riverfront RV Resort
17 miles away
We are on both the Sandy River and Beavercreek with full 58inch hookups, 30/50 amps, all concrete....We stayed at the Sandy River RV Park in July with our 3 grandchildren. We found the park to be clean, quiet, friendly,? very well located, and we would definately return! Although there is no pool, or playground equipment, there is a beautiful river for swimming and wading, hiking trails to explore and nature everywhere. A real hidden gem in the Portland area. We had easy access to everything. Thank you!...

McBride Lake
19 miles away
2/3 of the lake is gone. Kalama River now flows right thru the middle of what used to be the lake. It is amazing to see. The 8100 road is washed out at mile 11 so plan on a 2 mile walk....McBride Lake is no longer in existance. Though I will have this confirmed on July 23, 2008. It is my understanding that during the 2007/2008 winter, a massive land slide occurred which filled the lake. McBride was once a great lake to catch and release fish throughout the day....McBride Lake is no longer in existance. Though I will have this confirmed on July 23, 2008.
