You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Olympic Mountains. Don't leave Leland Lake without first going for a hike along the Deadfall Trail, and camping at Falls View Campground is always a wonderful experience. Around Leland Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly December, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is July. During
the summertime months highs here at Leland Lake reach the 60's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are generally in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter
temperatures at Leland Lake dip into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. There's magnificent hiking along the Mount Zion Trail, and in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Quilcene River.
