Buzzard Lake is a brilliant lake close to Leader Lake, and Loup Loup Ski Bowl is a splendid local ski area. There are other spots here than Leader Lake, for example Spaulding Lake, and you can take a little trip to Leader Lake Dam since you're here at Leader Lake. This lake is so wonderful. From Leader Lake you get a great vista of Fox Mountain, and do take       a hike on the Beaver Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Northern Cascade Range. Going for a hike along the Granite Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; why not camp at Leader Lake Campground while you're here at Leader Lake. At Leader Lake you don’t see much rain; throughout December this area sees the most snow, and the driest month is July.                  What a place this is for outdoors people. After a long day outdoors Best Western Peppertree Inn at Omak is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and if you came for an overnight stay M Bar J Trailer Ranch is a delightful site to camp. A nice nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn & Suites; hiking along the Ray Trail is nice fun. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. Summertime at Leader Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
