     This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Bear Mountain Trail. After a long day outdoors Inn at Port Hadlock is a fine spot to spend a night or two; get your heart beating on the wonderful whitewater of Big Quilcene River. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Ludlow Lake, and why not go to Witter Dam while you're here.
This lake is located in the wonderful Olympic Mountains. This
 
   place is excellent, just check out all the enjoyable things to do in the neighborhood of Larson Lake. Dry warm beds await you at The Resort At Port Ludlow, and Smitty's Trailer Park is a pleasant campground nearby. Around Larson Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; most of the rain falls during December, and July meanwhile is the driest month.

               near Larson Lake. Lakes? Sure, Horseshoe Lake is in the vicinity. High temperatures at Larson Lake during the summertime are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are regularly in the 40's while Larson Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Olympic Mountains. During your spree to Larson Lake you'll meet some folks from Bremerton-Silverdale for sure; going for a hike on the Deadfall Trail is always a nice adventure.
Leland Lake Campground is a magnificent local campground, and you can go for a hike on the Mount Zion Trail.

Cattail Lake
Cattail Lake in within the Bangor Naval Submarine Base and has not been accessible (even to most navy personnel) since 911.  I have not been to Cattail Lake in a long time.  It is a small natural lake with no dam.   I don't think there is public camping at the Erland Point Mobile Home Park or CRISTA Camps & Conference grounds.  CRISTA Camps & Conference center is at the south end of Island Lake in Silverdale....
