High temperatures at Lake Mills throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows through the wintertime for Lake Mills tend to be in the 30's. Here at Lake Mills there are plenty of folks from Port Angeles. This place, Lake Mills, it simply has so much outdoors cool stuff. In case you       don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Elwha River, and stopping by Olympic National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. A good location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Lake Mills is Elwha River; a nice close by hotel is Hidden Valley Motel. Lake Mills gets much water; December is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.                  Camping is available at Altair Campgrounds, and Lake Mills is right by the Lillian River Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort is a wonderful place to spend a night or two; don't forget to take a great little trip to Boulder Creek. The skiing at Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge is magnificent; why not take a refreshing hike along the Hurricane Hill Trail. So many fun things to do in the Olympic Mountains, not enough time. A spree to Rica Canyon is always fun, and why not camp at Indian Valley Motel and RV Park if you're here at Lake Mills. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Olympic Mountains. Upper Elwha Dam is a place that is close to Lake Mills; do take a hike on the Long Ridge Trail.
