Deer Meadow Creek is a stream that you may come across while here; there are plenty of folks from Shelton here at Lake Cushman. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Skokomish River - North Fork. At Lake Cushman during the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with       highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Lake Cushman. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake Cushman has to offer, you can camp at Lilliwaup Creek Campground, and after a long day outdoors Alderbrook Resort and Spa is a magnificent site to spend a night or two. Lake Cushman is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Lake Cushman Resort is a pleasant place to camp nearby, and do                  take a hike on the Mount Jupiter Trail. Lake Cushman is a beautiful lake in the Olympic Mountains. Lakes are such calm places, why not pop by Lake May near Lake Cushman; the sight of lovely Cushman Hill is great. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great planet it would be. Cushman Dam is worth going to since you're here, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Shelton is a fine choice. That right there is heaps of amusing things already but it goes on, the Olympic Mountains has it all. If you come at the right time of year, Skokomish River - South Fork offers some perfect whitewater; why not explore a swamp like Deer Meadow since you're here at Lake Cushman. Lake Cushman gets a lot of water; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
