Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Olympic Mountains. Looking for something near Lake Aldwell? Lake Mills is in close proximity, and Elwha Dam is a place that is right next door to Lake Aldwell. You could also stop by Beach Lake since you're here at Lake Aldwell; it's nearby; Elwha Dam RV Park is a wonderful local campground. Lake Aldwell sees pretty high       levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. And if that's not enough there's plenty more exciting things to do in the Olympic Mountains. You'll meet a lot of folks from Port Angeles here, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Hurricane Hill Trail. Any time is a fine time at Lake Aldwell if you adore the outdoors. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater                  of Elwha River; a good close by hotel is Red Lion Hotel Port Angeles. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge; if you need a spot to stay Quality Inn Uptown is a fine choice. At Lake Aldwell during the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows through the wintertime for Lake Aldwell tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Aldwell is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Altair Campgrounds is a perfect site to camp nearby, and going for a hike on the Little River Trail is always a splendid adventure. This lake is so wonderful.
