Elwha Dam is a delightful spot right next door to Lake Aldwell. There's so much to do here at Lake Aldwell that you need to camp here for a while, Altair Campgrounds is a nice spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Days Inn Port Angeles is a wonderful choice, and Olympic National Park is one of the destinations that are great to have a look at close by. Skiing at Hurricane       Ridge Ski Lodge is one of those things you just have to do. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Aldwell has to offer, you can camp at Elwha Dam RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Elwha River; there are plenty of people from Port Angeles here. The high level of precipitation makes Lake Aldwell a quite wet location; the month with most of the rain is December,                  and July is when it's the driest. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Lake Aldwell. If you get bored of Lake Aldwell, you could also go to close by Beach Lake; since you're here you can take a hike along the Little River Trail. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Olympic Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Uptown, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Lillian River Trail. That right there is a heap of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Olympic Mountains has it all. Going for a hike along the Hurricane Hill Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; a lake nearby is Lake Mills. High temperatures at Lake Aldwell through the summertime are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Lake Aldwell tend to be in the 30's.
