Washington has many beautiful lakes and Knight Lake is one of them. Summertime highs at Knight Lake usually tend to be in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are generally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Knight Lake. Willow Bay Resort is a wonderful local campground; obviously, this is a fine area for people who like lakes, Davis Lake is a lake nearby. And if you're still
looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. A delightful close by hotel is Solar World Estates West; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Spokane River.
A fine location to pop by next to Knight Lake is Hendricks Canyon; since you're here, do take a spree to Willow Bay. Shore Acres Resort On Loon Lke is a good campground nearby, and a delightful view of picturesque Eagle Rock is available.
This

lake is so wonderful. Days Inn and Suites Airway Heights/Spokane Airport is a pleasant place to get some rest, and almost certainly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Red Lake is just a very short distance away. Knight Lake gets very little rainfall; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow while July is mostly the driest month.

Do not swim in Willow lake. Willow lake is an acidic cesspool that fish can't even live in. The water corodes the steel parts on our model boats that we sometimes run there. The water, if you are brave enough tastes like battery acid....

Fishing at Queen Lucas Lake is trespassing on railroad property, isn't it? It is right in between two railroads? Tell me is it open to the public? wstorer@hotmail.com...$2 entry for over 6 years. Small lake with swimming beach and dock. Picnic tables and newer playground. Nice grassy patches to lounge in the shade. 12 miles from down town Spokane, great little get away for a summer day. Can rent paddle boats. Drawbacks: This is a very small recreational facility, so can get crowded on holidays. The playground is separated from swimming area, so can't watch children at playground from your 'beach camp', limited number of picnic tables. Otherwise great value for the money!...

...ific Northwest ski areas. Situated in the southern Selkirk Mountains, the ski area has a unique climate due to its location one mile east of Flowery Trail Pass (4,046 ft) that produces moderate temperatures with consistent snow pack at higher elevations. The total snowfall at the ski area averages 300 inches or more, while the total average annual precipitation at the ski area is 36.10 inches, with 69 percent of the precipitation coming as snow between November to April.
During the winter, nearly all precipitation in the vicinity of the ski area falls as snow. In the town of Chewelah and the surrounding lower elevations west of Flowery Trial Pass the snow pack is limited; however, in the towns of Usk and Cusick, and the surrounding lower elevations east of Flowery Trail Pass, the snow pack is greater than the west side. Snow begins to accumulate in November and usually reaches its greatest depth and water content sometime during March.

Interesting to see this area via google satelitte...in 1892 my paternal grandfather purchased 95.5 acres along the river at the China Bend area from the govt. It must have been repurchased by the Bureau of Reclamation when the Dam was being considered. Glad it's still beautiful....
