If you are traveling by, why not stop by Klone Lakes. This lake is one of the great places here in the Olympic Mountains. All the water falling down from the sky makes Klone Lakes a wet location; December is when you get the most rain here; July meanwhile is the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Olympic Mountains. Chikamin Creek flows through this vicinity; obviously, this is a good neighborhood for people who like lakes,

| | Discovery Lake is a lake in close proximity.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Elwha River Trail is delightful fun, and at Klone Lakes you can observe Three Peaks. Klone Lakes is right by the Skyline Trail, and get dripping wet paddling on Quinault River. So many cool things in the Olympic Mountains, just fantastic. If you came to camp Wynoochee Falls Campground is a pleasant spot to do that.

at Graves Creek Campground is always a glorious experience; a nice close by hotel is Lake Quinault Lodge. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Satsop Lakes; get yourself into a kayak and
hit Satsop River - West Fork. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Klone Lakes. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. During the wintertime highs are typically in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Klone Lakes.
