If you need a location to stay Best Western Icicle Inn is a fine choice. This place rocks, just check out all the cool things to do in the neighborhood of King Lake. Buck Creek flows through this region, and if you came for an overnight stay Phelps Creek Campground is a great spot to camp. King Lake is right by the Pacific Crest Trail - section 26, and there are some good whitewater spots on Lake Creek. Yeah, come up here to the       Northern Cascade Range for a great time. If you come at the right time of year, Little Wenatchee River offers some magnificent whitewater; Massie Lake is a great lake nearby. King Lake is a wet place that gets much precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Alpine Meadows Campground is a splendid local campground, and hiking along the Park Creek Trail                  is glorious fun. King Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. You get a nice view of Buck Mountain from King Lake, and do take a hike on the Miners Creek Trail. For the period of the days of summer at King Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for King Lake tend to be in the 20's. All the outdoors fun things in the Northern Cascade Range will keep you coming back over and over.
