In Washington there are many beautiful lakes, King Lake is one of them. Much precipitation falls at King Lake; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here; July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Lyman Lake is close at hand. If you came for an overnight stay Alpine Meadows Campground is a magnificent place to camp, and some delightful nature is available in Lake Wenatchee Ranger District. These

Why not camp at Phelps Creek Campground since you're here at King Lake; a pleasant place for whitewater paddling is Little Wenatchee River. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of King Lake. explore nearby Massie Lake, and wonderful hiking is available along the Park Creek Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Icicle Inn is a great site
to get some rest, and going for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 26 is always a delightful adventure. High temperatures at King Lake through the summertime are in the 70's, and the night is fairly colder of course,
ordinarily in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at King Lake.

Napeequa Crossing Campground
 | Well, most of the information in this little blurb is wrong: The nearest Metro area is not Ellensburg, it is Leavenworth. Lake Elsley? I have never heard of it, and have been in the area for 30 years. There is no such place called Indian Ponds anywhere around the campground. Though a beautiful hike, Napeequa Crossing to Twin Lakes is not an easy stroll, it is approximately 3.2+ miles one way, with many switchbacks, and to the average city person, a hard slog. This Article makes it sound like White river falls are on the way to Twin Lakes, which they are not. They are reached by driving on up the valley 5 more miles or so to the correct turnout. Also, it should be mentioned that from the beginning of camping season till Mid August, you should slather yourself in Bug repellant to keep from being eaten alive by Mosquitoes. The campground is located on the confluence of the White and Napeequa Rivers, which flow into Lake Wenatchee.... |
