A quick tour to South Fork Kimta Creek close to Kimta Lake is a glorious idea, and fine skiing awaits you at Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge. Kimta Lake is located in the Olympic Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Three Prune Lakes; a tremendous nearby hotel is Lake Quinault Lodge. Summertime at Kimta Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's.       Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Kimta Lake dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Kimta Peak is easily distinguished from Kimta Lake; Olympic National Park is one of the destinations that are fine to stop by close by. Good hiking is available along the Elwha River Trail; in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can                  always go whitewater paddling on Quinault River - North Fork. Whitewater paddling is nice on Quinault River, and there are great places to look at along the Skyline Trail. Having a fine time in the Olympic Mountains is easy. Go for a hike on the Hoh River Trail, and Kimta Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Graves Creek Campground is a nice local campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Kimta Lake a wet place; most of the rain falls through December, and July is when it's the driest. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Olympic Mountains has to offer.
