This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of South Praire Creek in the vicinity of Kepka Fishing Pond; on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Summit Lake Trail. All our national parks are good spots to stop by, and Mount                  Rainier National Park is no exception, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Buckley. This lake is so wonderful. Gale Creek is a delightful stream that is worth taking a look at. So many cool things to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. There is a good hiking trail right next door to Kepka Fishing Pond called the Ipsut Creek Trail; if you need a location to stay Kings Valu Inn is a delightful choice. A delightful site for whitewater paddling next to Kepka Fishing Pond is Carbon River, and Enumclaw Golf Course is a golf course nearby. Kepka Fishing Pond is a wet site that gets a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range.
