When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Kent Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Olympic Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Pines Trailer and Recreational is a glorious spot to camp. Kent Lake is a beautiful       lake in the Olympic Mountains. The high level of rain makes Kent Lake a reasonably wet location; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Kent Lake is great! A great close by hotel is Super 8 Shelton; in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Vance Creek. A good location for whitewater                  paddling in the vicinity of Kent Lake is Skokomish River - South Fork; lakes are such serene sites, why not explore Woelfel Lake. That right there is a lot of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Olympic Mountains has it all. Potlatch State Park Campground is a good local campground, and while you're here, you might as well stop by Purdy Canyon. This lake is so wonderful. Alderbrook Resort and Spa is a pleasant spot to get some rest; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Shelton.
