I live nearby, so my husband and I went to check out Lake Kathleen.  We didn't see any public parks or facilities and when we asked a resident who was out for a walk if there were any, she said ''no''

    If you are in this part of Washington make sure to pay a visit to Lake Kathleen. This is a popular spot for folks from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, and on a lovely day you obtain a great vista of Cedar Mountain from Lake Kathleen. A round of golf at nearby Golf Club at Newcastle is a good way to kill some time; you can run the rapids of Cedar River. A tour to Mount Rainier National Park is worthwhile.
Summer brings highs in the 70's to Lake Kathleen. All through
 
   the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Lake Kathleen tend to be in the 30's. The amount of rainfall that falls at Lake Kathleen is close to the national average; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain while July is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Lake  
               Kathleen that you need to camp here for a while, Riverbend Mobile and RV Park is a great spot for that; if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Seattle-Issaquah, Wa is a great choice.
If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lake Kathleen. If you want to hit the beach, Alexander Beach is nearby, and a delightful site for whitewater paddling is Green River. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake Kathleen has to offer, you can camp at Issaquah Highlands Camping Club, and Larkspur Landing Bellevue is a magnificent site to get some rest.
