This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. There's great hiking along the Kachess Ridge Trail, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Box Canyon Creek. If you love the outdoors, you'll like Kachess Lake. If you need a place to stay Suncadia Resort is a perfect choice, and don't leave Kachess Lake without first going for a hike along the Goat Peak Trail.
A lot of

rain falls at Kachess Lake; during January this area sees the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. For the duration of the summer at Kachess Lake temperatures are mostly in the 60's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Kachess Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A beautiful lake like Thorp Lake in
close proximity to Kachess Lake is a good place to pop by; some close by water includes Cabin Creek.
Head up to Snoqualmie and strap some skis to your feet; Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a glorious site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Easton is a tremendous lake close to Kachess Lake, and a day on the slopes of Alpental is just what you need. This site, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors fun things. The Domerie Peak Trail offers hiking at its best. There's so much to do here at Kachess Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cabin Creek RV and U-fish is a perfect place for that.
So much entertaining stuff to do here at Kachess Lake, too great to be true. So much fun stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not sufficient time. Monahan Mountain is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Kachess Lake; whitewater paddling is splendid on Cooper River. Kachess Dam is worth checking out since you're here. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Kachess Lake has to offer, you can camp at Silver Ridge Ranch.

Wish Poosh Campground
We overnighted at this campsite a couple of weekends ago. The camp hosts were wonderful, they were informative and kept the grounds and the bathrooms spic-n-span clean. They were always in their golf cart putting around taking care of this or that. They scolded us for staying the night in a place we weren't supposed to, and I felt bad about that because I knew we shouldn't have stayed there but my partner insisted and it was his birthday. I knew they were just keeping order at the campground they were in charge of, and I appreciated that. Keep up the good work!...

This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking. For these particular mountains, it is imperative that the hiker carry a compass (and know how to use it) and topographic map....

Bonnie Lake

Bonney lake Is not trained. It is drained in the winter, who ever runs the dam doesn't man it in winter so they let it drain. There was talk that they would not fill it any more....Just heard that Bonnie Lake is drained in the winter and then refilled in the Spring. Can you tell me why?...

This ''Lake'' Is Beautiful. It really isn't a lake at all, in the summer it is a widening of the river. Very slow moving river, more like a slough, it is very clean, clear, and cold, mountain runoff. The fishing is excellent from a small boat or float tube, although the current can be somewhat strong. I fly fished, using a #14 Adams, and caught 11 rainbow and cutthroat trout between 6 & 11'', in the early to mid evening. This was in July of 2008. Camping was good, small sites along the main road. Keep your food in the cars though as Bears are definitely out....

From the steep and deep to the high-speed buffed-out cruisers, from our gentle learning areas to our benchmark parks and pipe, diversity is a way of life around here. With four unique base areas and less than an hour from Seattle on Interstate 90, no other resort in the country offers so much variety with this much convenience. Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast!
For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do!
So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit.
Just around the corner...

Stephens Pass

Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out...
