Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Deception Creek Campground is a great local campground, and Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a glorious location to get some rest. June Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall;
most of the rain falls during December, and July is the month with the least moisture. If the weather is wonderful, you acquire a good sight of Mount Sawyer from June Lake; June Lake is not the only place nearby, Fisher Lake is a nearby lake.

Bonnie Lake
Bonney lake Is not trained. It is drained in the winter, who ever runs the dam doesn't man it in winter so they let it drain. There was talk that they would not fill it any more....Just heard that Bonnie Lake is drained in the winter and then refilled in the Spring. Can you tell me why?...
Stephens Pass
1 PHOTO Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out...

Tucquala Lake
12 miles away 1 PHOTO This ''Lake'' Is Beautiful. It really isn't a lake at all, in the summer it is a widening of the river. Very slow moving river, more like a slough, it is very clean, clear, and cold, mountain runoff. The fishing is excellent from a small boat or float tube, although the current can be somewhat strong. I fly fished, using a #14 Adams, and caught 11 rainbow and cutthroat trout between 6 & 11'', in the early to mid evening. This was in July of 2008. Camping was good, small sites along the main road. Keep your food in the cars though as Bears are definitely out....

Lunker Lake
14 miles away ...p, or just around the house. Lunker Lake is a realistic and entertaining family game, that is easily played by people of all ages. This ultimate freshwater fishing game is both exciting and challenging for anglers and non-anglers alike. There are several species of fish lurking in the depths of Lunker Lake. Including Muskie, Walleye, Lake Trout, Pike, Large and Small Mouth Bass? but you must catch the ''Lunkers'' to open your options. The first player to catch 2 fish from each of the 6 different areas in the lake is TOP ANGLER and wins the game. Watch for sandbars, and be sure to have your life jacket and fishing license for everyone? the fisheries officer is unforgiving. Direct Importer of this ?Family Fun? Fishing game Voted Most Promising New Game at the American Sports Fishing Association Trade Show in Chicago & was one of two finalists vying for the Prestigious Best New Giftware Award ?With Murphy's law around on some days, fishing can be slow; therefore, I count on ''Lunker Lake''? It's a great catch for both young and old?. Henry Waszczuk, President, Fins and S...

Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast! For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do! So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit. Just around the corner... ...A MILLION MILES AWAY!... |

Pacific Crest Trail - section 25
16 miles away Roundtrip Distance 17.4 miles Elevation Gain 2,574 ft. This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking. For these particular mountains, it is imperative that the hiker carry a compass (and know how to use it) and topographic map....
Wish Poosh Campground
19 miles away We overnighted at this campsite a couple of weekends ago. The camp hosts were wonderful, they were informative and kept the grounds and the bathrooms spic-n-span clean. They were always in their golf cart putting around taking care of this or that. They scolded us for staying the night in a place we weren't supposed to, and I felt bad about that because I knew we shouldn't have stayed there but my partner insisted and it was his birthday. I knew they were just keeping order at the campground they were in charge of, and I appreciated that. Keep up the good work!...
