    Why not stop by Lake Julia if you're passing through these parts. Lake Julia is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. Lake Julia gets a lot of water; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Lake Julia. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Stillaguamish River - South Fork, and why not camp at Verlot Campground since  
   you're here at Lake Julia.
For the duration of the long summer days at Lake Julia temperatures are frequently in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake Julia are in the 30's. If you come at the right time of year, Pilchuck River offers some great whitewater; camping is available at Turlo Campground. Smelling Lake is a splendid lake in the neighborhood
 
               of Lake Julia, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Gee Point Trail.
Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. Worthy Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to; after a long day outdoors GuestHouse Inn & Suites M is a fine spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A picturesque lake like Chitwood Lake near Lake Julia is a magnificent site to stop by, and Best Western Sky Valley Inn, Monroe is a good location to get some rest. That right there is plenty of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. Take a hike on the Finney Peak Trail.

WE USED TO FISH HUNT AND FOURWHEEL AT THE LAKE...We used to ride dirt bikes in the early 70's up to lake fontal, lotsa fun. I remember the cabins and little store that was up there when I was a kid in the 60's....I used to fish on Lake Fontal but now there isn't any fish.Warning: Lake Fontal Road is a dead end that does not lead to Lake Fontal. The lake is definitely not worth the trouble....We used to ride hores into lake fontal in the late 60's. There used to be a small resort there, complete with cabins, boat rentals,always a huge party opening weekend..(?) big foot sightings in the area...could of been the micro-dot....

This was a beautiful hike, coming out on a lake that was pristine and gorgeous. The only problem is, the hike is really long, steep, up hill, and was exhausting for me. I would consider this an upper intermediate hike....

Lake Beecher is surrounded on 3 sides by a wildlife reserve and a wooded flood plain. Several families of Beavers and Otters make their homes along the sides of the lake. Evidence of large fresh water muscles are often found on the aging docks of the 1920s & 1930s cottages that are along the lake. In the early morning & evening in the summertime, hot air balloons drift along the edge of the lake just above the treeline between the lake and the Snohomish River....
