Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Racehorse Creek, and if you get bored of Judson Lake you could also check out nearby Green Lake. Swamps don’t sound that nice but Pangborn Lake near Judson Lake is reasonably nice, and camping is available at Lynden Koa Kampground. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn Bellingham is a glorious location       to get some rest, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Whatcom Creek. From a rainfall point of view Judson Lake is a relatively normal place; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the long summer days highs here at Judson Lake get into the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally                  in the 40's; nighttime lows during the winter for Judson Lake tend to be in the 30's.
