You can run the rapids of Tolt River close to Lake Joy; if you need a place to stay Summit Lodge at Snoqualmie Pass is a good choice. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do right next door to Lake Joy. If you came for an overnight stay Snoqualmie River Campgrounds is a great place to camp. All through the long summer days at Lake Joy highs are commonly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down       to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's; overnight lows at Lake Joy all through the winter generally dip into the 30's. Camping is available at Tolt River John Macdonald Park; a fine site for whitewater paddling is Snoqualmie River. This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Lake Joy to observe the water at Sawns Mill Pond Dam, and after a long day outdoors Salish Lodge And Spa is a glorious place to spend a night or two. This                  lake is located in the wonderful Northern Cascade Range. So many amusing things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too good to be true. Lakes are glorious; Lake Dorothy is a lake that's right next door to Lake Joy, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Carnation Golf Course & Driving Range.
