This lake is one of the great places here in the Olympic Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Mora Campground is a nice local campground. This is a delightful vicinity for people who like lakes. Wentworth Lake is a lake in close proximity, and you can hit the beach if you want, First Beach is practically right here. James Pond generally gets a good deal of precipitation; December is the month       that gets the most rain; August is when it's the driest. Through the summer months at James Pond highs are ordinarily in the 60's while night lows are frequently in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while James Pond overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 30's. So many fun things to do at James Pond, so little time. Dickey River is a stream that you may bump into while you're here, and get your heart pumping on the great                  whitewater of Calawah River. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Olympic Mountains. On a magnificent day it's a splendid idea to spend the day at Three D Beach, and a nice spot for whitewater paddling is Soleduck River. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Olympic Mountains, not enough time. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Ozette Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Kalaloch Lodge. Have a great hiking adventure along the South Sand Point Trail, and Three Rivers Resort and Guide Service is a brilliant campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Allens Bay Trail, and if you need a place to stay Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort is a tremendous choice.   Kalaloch Lodge, Forks 14 miles away We sit on a 50 foot high bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
