A scenic lake like Lynda Lake near Isabelle Lake is a brilliant location to take a look at; a delightful close by hotel is Best Western Peppertree Liberty Lake Inn. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Isabelle Lake with night lows in the 40's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Mt. Spokane, and Mount Pisgah is clearly visible from Isabelle Lake. Interesting to see this area via google satelitte...in 1892 my paternal grandfather purchased 95.5 acres along the river at the China Bend area from the govt. It must have been repurchased by the Bureau of Reclamation when the Dam was being considered. Glad it's still beautiful.... |
