Washington has many beautiful lakes and Isabella Lake is one of them. Isabella Lake generally gets lots of rain; the month with most of the rain is December; July is the month with the least moisture. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Isabella Lake. A tremendous location to stop at next to Isabella Lake is Isabella Valley, and why not camp at Pines Trailer and Recreational if you're here at Isabella Lake. This
   lake is so wonderful.
This lake is so wonderful. Cedar Creek has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by, and Coffee Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not visit Goose Lake near Isabella Lake; Super 8 Motel - Shelton is a glorious place to get some rest. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Isabella Lake reach the 70's, and the night is a little chillier of course, generally

in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Isabella Lake.
But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Olympic Mountains. You'll meet a lot of people from Shelton here, and an afternoon playing golf at Bayshore Golf Club is always a joy. Isabella Lake is one of the lakes here in the Olympic Mountains. After a long day outdoors Alderbrook Resort And Spa is a wonderful location to spend a night or two, and you'll hit upon a pretty lake called Island Lake.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Olympic Mountains. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Skokomish River - South Fork; a fine site to camp here at Isabella Lake is We and U Mobile Home and RV Park.

Upper Elk Lake
18 miles away
It's been about 6yrs. since I was last at upper Elk Lake,It was my most favorite place to camp. If you were lucky, and got the only camp site on the lake, the lake was yours. The water was so crystal clear, you could almost see the bottom. The fishing was't bad either. There are plenty of trails and creeks to explore.Including Jefferson creek, which will lead you to lower Elk Lake. My children loved this spot as much as I. There was also a rope swing on the other side of the lake.It was heaven. My youngest daughter traveled back to the lake this summer (2008). She says the lake is destroyed, with water plants and logs, she says the water is no longer clear. This makes me sad, I may just have to plan a trip to see for myself....
